Purpose of the project:

to create a club of foreign language lovers in order to form intercultural competence of foreign language learners by using the tandem method in the educational process

Tasks of the project:

- to find like-minded people, native speakers of English, who wants to study Russian and the culture of the country, as well as share knowledge about the culture of his/her country and teach his/her native language;

- to develop a curriculum for the formation of intercultural competence in the framework of the tandem method of teaching a foreign language;

- to develop students' ability to independently acquire knowledge for the implementation of everyday and professional communication in a foreign language;

-to increase the level of educational autonomy, the ability to self-education, to work with multimedia programs, electronic dictionaries, foreign language Internet resources;

- to develop cognitive and research skills, broaden horizons and enhance information culture;

- to foster tolerance and respect for the spiritual values of different countries and peoples.

Detailed description of the project activities according to the tasks:

- to create a club of foreign language lovers

- to find like-minded people, native speakers of English, who wants to study the Russian language and the culture of the country;

- to find a way to quickly and comfortably communicate with a native speaker;

- to renovate the quarters;

- to buy specialized equipment (video cameras, computers, headsets);

- to connect to the Internet;

- to create a curriculum for the formation of intercultural competence in the framework of the tandem method of teaching a foreign language.

Presentation of the project “Linguotandemics as a way to get conversational practice” in order to attract more participants:

- organization of promotional events;

- coverage of project activities in the media;

- development of advertising booklets and their publication;

- creating an invitation video for social networks to attract native English speakers who wants to learn Russian and the culture of the country.

Target group: native speakers of English who wants to study the Russian language and culture of the country, students and parents of students.

Number of participants: 16 people

Expected results:

- increasing the interest of the younger generation in learning a foreign language, - - increasing the effectiveness of participation in intellectual competitions at various levels,

- improving the skills of working with electronic educational resources.

Reasoning of the project:

The deepening of international integration in the context of the global information space and the need for a comprehensive and versatile modernization of the country requires a modern school graduate to have an active command of a foreign language. Increasing motivation in teaching English will improve the quality of knowledge and interest in the subject, and communication with native speakers will simplify learning and improve speech in practice
